Located in Mackinac’s prestigious West Bluff, this Mackinac Island “cottage” offers some serious curb appeal — not to mention envious views. Take a peak and imagine what it might be like to call Mackinac Island home — in all of its historic, sun-soaked glory. Built in 1892, this Victorian cottage — has all the style of a late 19th century home, with added 21st century bonuses like central heat, air conditioning, a swimming pool, and a jacuzzi.
We love its stately covered porch which looks out to the Straits of Mackinac, just steps away, and its sun room when you need an escape from the elements. The home comes fully furnished, and expertly decorated by the previous owner who spent over 75 years collecting furnishings and decor.
The main cottage boasts 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, while the Carriage house includes another 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. The property sits in good company with the Grand Hotel next door. We picture ourselves sitting cozy on the back porch, looking out over the water, and living the good life. It’s a lifestyle that we call #puremackinac. Who wouldn’t want to live in this stately, Mackinac Island gem? Of course, we’re happy simply getting to enjoy its presence on the West Bluff as we make our way to The Grand Hotel for a scoop of Sadie’s Ice Cream.
