With only an 88 ft. elevation gain throughout the trail, this hike is for everyone. Bring the kids, take a bike ride, or take the dog for a morning stroll, all while taking in the sites and sounds of the Mackinac shoreline.

Mackinac Island Inner Loop:

Also looping around the island this trail is moderately more difficult. With the trail being in the Mackinac Island State Park, you are surrounded by the amazing foliage and nature of the island. The hike itself is 7.5 miles long, however your legs will be feeling the 433 ft. elevation. This is definitely a more traditional hiking experience, for those looking to go on a nature trip or take a mountain bike excursion.

Arch Rock:

Arch Rock is possibly the most well known view on the island because of the unique rock form that its named after. The Arch Rock hiking trail is a must for anyone looking to experience some of Mackinac’s icon features. With it being less than 2.5 miles, the hike is kid and pet friendly and it’s a historic site on the island. Perfect for some morning exercise with a cup of coffee.
